Used in the oleophobic and hydrophobic protection of natural surfaces (sandstone, granite, marble), or those based on mineral binding agents (cement and gypsum elements). The preparation can be applied on construction materials, such as: ceramic, silicate and clinker brick, (including clinker and tile joints), and paving setts. It is also useful in the protection of seasoned (minimum 28 days) surfaces of cement and cement plaster surfaces, and other bases, after a previous inspection. The preparation does not cause adverse colour changes on impregnated surfaces, and guarantees vapour permeability of the base.
Packaged in 5, and 1l containers.
The preparation should be stirred or shaken before the application. Use a tampon, painting brush, or spray device to apply. Subsequent layers should be distributed evenly; remember to take 30-60 minute breaks between applications. 10 minutes after the application, remove excess material that has remained on the surface. The surface is well secured when it stops absorbing any new volumes of the preparation.
Porous bases: The first applied layer is usually absorbed completely. After 30-60 minutes, place the next layer, and the non-absorbed excess preparation should be removed after 10 minutes. Some highly porous bases require that a third preparation layer should be applied.
Polished or low-porosity bases: Apply the preparation once or twice; remove excess material after 10 minutes. The drying time in the last layer is ca. 3-4 hours, and depends on the preparation volume and base properties. The full surface impregnation effect can be seen after ca. 24 hours.
New plasters should be impregnated 28 days after they are laid; joint fillings should be impregnated after they have dried off completely, however, not sooner than after 7 days. Before works are commenced, carefully secure all surfaces that are not going to be impregnated. Do not allow local runs, by removing excess preparation from the surface. Tools should be washed directly after the completion of works.
